Plagron Lightmix is a finely balanced, lightly pre-fertilized substrate that gives you maximum control over nutrient supply. The combination of carefully selected peat types, fibers, and perlite creates a loose, well-draining structure — perfect if you want to work according to your own strategy with Plagron Terra Grow and Plagron Terra Bloom or individual additives. Plagron Light mix provides a quick start while giving you the freedom to shape the rest of your feeding plan exactly as you need.
If you like to decide when and how strongly to fertilize — for example, using mineral nutrients or an individualized Plagron Fertilizer Scheme — Plagron Lightmix is perfect. The substrate is specially designed for 1–2-week-old seedlings, cuttings, and growers who rely on a low EC value for fast root development.

The low starting EC makes Plagron Lightmix especially root-friendly: new roots grow quickly and healthily because they are not slowed down by excessive salt concentrations. When using Plagron Terra Grow/Terra Bloom or mineral nutrients, you can start targeted fertilization as early as the second week — controlling nutrient peaks and promoting even growth.
Plagron Lightmix is ready-to-use for planting and repotting. You can start targeted fertilization after the first week — choose Terra Grow for vegetative growth and Terra Bloom for flowering. Organic additives such as Plagron Pure Enzym, Plagron Power Roots, Plagron Power Buds, or Plagron Green Sensation can complement the program effectively.
Available with 10% perlite or without perlite — choose perlite for increased aeration and drainage.

Yes — note that Alga-based fertilizers work differently: with Lightmix we recommend starting with Alga Grow immediately if needed, because Lightmix is mineral pre-fertilized and Alga nutrients must be processed by microorganisms.
Do I need to regulate pH/EC?
Yes — Lightmix is designed for mineral fertilization. Monitor pH and EC and adjust according to your feeding plan.
When can I plant seedlings in Lightmix?
Seedlings from 1–2 weeks old are very suitable for Plagron Lightmix.
