Carbon dioxide is essential for plants, much like oxygen is for humans. It plays a crucial role in the growth process of green plants. If plants are not adequately supplied with carbon dioxide, their growth slows down. CO2 Bag offers a cost-effective and efficient method to produce the necessary carbon dioxide in your greenhouse.
CO2 Bag stands out for its easy application. Start 2-3 weeks after sowing by piercing six holes in the top of the bag and hanging it above your plants. In larger greenhouses, it is recommended to place the bags over the aisles. The production of carbon dioxide occurs at temperatures above 18ºC. Store the sealed bag in a cool, dry room below 18ºC.
The CO2 Bag produces carbon dioxide upon contact with oxygen, with production beginning after a few days. Depending on the ventilation of the greenhouse, one bag can supply areas up to 4 m² with carbon dioxide for 1-3 months.
With additional CO2 supply, plants can better withstand temperatures of 3-5ºC. However, this also increases the need for water, nutrients, and light. Ensure optimal conditions to fully take advantage of the CO2 Bag's benefits.
The bag is based on bicarbonate (NH4, HCO3) and is safe to use. It is recommended to install the bag near a fan to ensure even distribution of carbon dioxide in the room.
The CO2 Bag is versatile and can be easily used in large greenhouses. The number of bags needed depends on the room size. For a 50 m² space, the manufacturer recommends hanging five bags at regular intervals.
